Reformer Life Assessment -
Development of a Materials Database

In support of its reformer inspection methodology, the Quest organisation has developed a tube life assessment method, LifeQuest™-Reformer. The development of this assessment method has
required extensive investigation into the creep properties of the HP family of materials commonly used for such applications. It has been observed that the aging in service that these materials experience results in significant changes to material creep properties. Accurate life assessment
requires a knowledge and understanding of the affects of such changes on remaining life. This paper describes the research program being undertaken to develop this database.
